Friday December 1, 2017 marked the 100th anniversary of the foundation of 115 SQN RAF and

the “115 Sqn. Research group Belgium” came to England to hold a commemoration, revisit the “Display of Memorabilia” and take a guided walk.

Flt Lt Andrew Sell represented 115 (R) Sqn. RAF, Geoff Reynolds represented “The Mildenhall Register” and Tina & Roger Vermeylen – Jonkers represented Operation Neptune.

Also some relatives of former 115 Sqn. serving veterans were present.

During the commemoration, some remarkable facts about 115 Sqn. were presented and the visitors took time especially to commemorate the crew of Lancaster KO-Y DS734. Before and after the commemoration, an exhibition was held with pop-up banners about that Lancaster.

The guided walk, which was shortened due to snowy weather conditions, took place with the kind permission of David Brand, owner of the property.
